Oakdale and Nanshangshan become sister schools.

Principal Johnson first visited the city of Jinan in April of 2006. Oakdale Elementary School and Nanshangshan Primary School in Jinan, China entered into an agreement to become sister schools in June of 2007. The educational partnerships were facilitated by the Connecticut Association of Schools and the China Exchange Initiative from Massachusetts.

Oakdale and Nanshangshan Primary School become sister schools.

On June 8, 2007, Principal Wang and Mark Johnson entered into an agreement to become sister schools. The purpose of the agreement is to deepen the friendship we have established and to promote the educational exchange of our cultures, ideas and instructional practices. These exchanges will be built upon a foundation of equality, trust, and mutual benefit.
