Classes

The school is on a five day rotational schedule.  All classes have a fixed library class once a week. Head Start and kindergarteners have a scheduled half hour of library class per week. All other grades have a scheduled forty five minute class per week.

The library classes cover lessons in using the card catalog, research, note taking, selection of materials for enjoyment or research, and computer skills.  The librarian gives grades on the report card for library skills, computer skills, and effort and positive attitude in class.

If a third, fourth,or fifth grader misses a library class they are required to make-up missed work before their next library class.

There is an open book exchange time from 8:55 to 12:30, each day, for all students to return and check out books. They should see Miss Foster and not interupt instruction.
