Compiling a Bibliography

How to Cite References
A bibliography, which may be called “Works Cited”, is the list of sources which you have used to prepare your report. The references in your bibliography must be written in the correct format and the bibliography itself should be included at the end of your paper.
Brief Guide:

1. For each source listed, begin the first line at the margin and indent each line that follows.

2. Follow the punctuation of the examples exactly using capital letters when they are needed. Check your spelling.

3. For two authors/contributors: Last name, first name, and first name last name. EX: Smith, James, and Sally West.

4. More than two authors/contributors: Last name, first name, and first name last name, and first name last name.
Ex: Smith, James, Sally West, and Tom Jones.

5. To find the name of the encyclopedia on CD, publisher, and copyright date click on the name of the encyclopedia at the top menu and drag to “About encyclopedia name”.

6. If you cannot find some information check with the librarian.
Your report needs to cite the references you used so that readers can find the original material you used to write your paper.
